MWL Assignment - still airmail craze

still very much XOXO airmail... using Crate paper collection Storyteller, a layout about work, journey, hobby for MWL, titled "Journey". Simply scrapping about the two workshops @ Surabaya and Indonesia. It was a moment in lifetime experience and definitely fun to meet the Indonesian scrappers.
I really super love those punched out mini hearts (of course because of the airmail pps too, hee)

simply put it this way, I'm an embelishments scrappers, give me lots of stickers, chipboard, rubons, more stickers and more stickers, and brads too... I will be very super elated.  There you go the layer.. or layerings... or more layers

Printing lots of instagram photos for SMASHING fun :) Simply love the square photos, size 2.5"x2.5" and dont you love the borders, this is the Earlybird effect on the instagram apps!

I also bought another big, 12"x12" in PURPLE SMASH Book. It was love at the first sight and I cant wait to smash it!!! Look at one of the pages here.. hee...

I'm also rearranging my washi tapes.. probably according to brand. This is one of my favourite boxes!


And love this boy totally... his seriousness... and because he has been typing and typing... but he is having fun!!!

live the moment

How many times we always say life is stress, life is busy, very tired... a lot of work, too much work, crap day, boss giving us hell, scarificed family time and working hard, heavy responsibilities, finally TGIF but weekend is too short, Monday is here again, deadlines and dead etc etc... A friend told me recently that I'm really hard on myself. And I simply ALLOW others to put me down easily and ALLOW myself to feel bad / to feel very down / to feel very sad because of what they say or did! And I'm reflecting too much, too over that sometimes I'm seriously thinking too much!!! I'm too emotional, I guess! hahaha

Last Monday, or every Mondays... I seem to have a lot of unfinished task to prepare for the week... or maybe I'm not working hard on weekends. As usual without any choice, I will tell Sean that I'm not picking him up when he comes back from school. And he'd be rather sad but this is 'choiceless' situation!

Responsibilities has boundaries... how much more of this little boy am I going to sacrifice?

I just decided to get out of the office and live this moment... PRICELESS!!!

And I think I really can do better when I spend less energy putting myself down lor... LOL! and count my blessings... and enjoy more with family, friends who truly care and of course more 'choice' given to the little boy!

He was too excited to see us last Friday for the classroom experience:) And the moment, he saw us, he pointed at us and told his friends...

He was seated at the last row in the class. Overall, I think he is adjusting well and he still likes school, hahahaha

Weekends are definitely best for us! Spend more quality time as family, just what we need :)

comes and goes

Did you realise Chinese New Year come and going off soon? In fact too close to Christmas and New Year and school starts and everything. This year we did not do much, did not buy a lot, did not cook and we went out to eat. Going for another dinner soon. And this is the year that during Chinese New Year, I switched on my computer, trying hard, struggling and slogging to write my thesis! TOO painful for words:( Why on earth is so difficult? At times I just have one answer, I'm stupid! Period.

Anyway something to brighten myself up! I NEED COLOURS... and so look, having too much fun with my washi tapes :)

Sean started his 1st training, not really sure whether he likes badminton, but just for him to wake up early on Saturday to exercise!

Next he goes to his Chinese tuition every Saturday too! After tuition today, he decided to spend his angpow $$$$$$$ HAHAHAHAHA! WAH right such a BIG SPENDER!!! But wait, he still have quite a fair bit to save up as he's getting big angpows! And everything is NEED! He lost his mickey flik flak watch and replaced with the SAME one again?, his shoes spoilt, swimming costume too tight, yonex t-shirt for badminton training and then... lego book for leisure.

Hahaha, this is the Want! I want to get for Sean, haha! Is converse brand features Dr Seus aka cat in the HAT shoes... COOL right?!

P/S everything from TAKA (exhibition hall having sports attire sales) except the watch from Bras Basah and books from Kino

looks like my blogging doing good...

I'm still keeping my resolution to blog more often and less facebook but then recently there's this scrapbook market on facebook that kept distracting me! Still trying to control which is so far I bought less than $10 from 3 different sellers. In anyway, 2012 I'm trying to scrap more for my own, for my own leisure and pleasure and to sink into the real meaning of scrapping!

Did a Chinese New Year mini! YESH, another #325 minis.. hahahaha! This is real fast, completed in one hour. Need to print all those photos and complete this mini, so cheena looking? HEE :)
I wanted to be reminded that I'm blessed with my family when everything in life is so fragile and changing.

And 1st day of CNY, the custom to pay respect to my late MIL. We went for prayers at the temple. Little boy prayed for love and care. Light kiss to ME! LOVED HEE:)

Me: WHAT! What hurdle?? Sean: means a little bit tough as I cant sing very well...

Me: Oh i see... okay. try to sing everyday lar! Sean: A HA... you say LAH!!!!

Stocktake of all friends and do not spend so much time on friendship? It's just something that happens to me again and again...
I get totally affected and hurt to the MAX when a friend just disappear, did not reply my smses, did not give a chance for me to explain or finally deleted me on facebook (facebook is totally evil)!
YES!!! It hurts me :( I need to realise that it's less important to have many firends and it's more important to have real ones.

Falling sick was miserable but the men care a lot... I think. The little boy gives endless love, lots of hugs and kisses:) and the big men cooked mee suah, yum yummy :)

Received card and a lovely handmade altered box from my niece who just started scrapbooking. The young talented shabby chic!

Finally during the MC, I slept too much and was bored that I need to cut something...or anything

And I think every girl needs a polka dot mini, ya? Awww... love polka dots!!!

Stomach flu attacked again!!! Too much caffeine or too much stress, bleah! Need lotsa TLC!

Less than a month to Christmas...and the year is going to end soon! It's just the loveliest season and yet is quite sad to bid goodbye to 2011 and seriously 12months just gone like that?! Taking things slow after making the advert calendar... we spent more time with the little boy on weekends...

On Saturday morning, we went to MBS, took photos with those real Christmas trees. I was a bit disappointed as the trees are kinda almost bare and 'ugly' but Sean insists that the trees are looking GREAT! This is one of his favourite tree:)

With the photos, I'm inspired and scrapped this layout real fast with all Crate Paper embelishments. I love all those layers of diecuts, embelishments and Pooi 'knick knacks' - details here and there:)

Closeup - the nice list about christmas!!! We talked about gifts, candies, lights, trees, any snow? wishes, etc etc

Other simple things we did during weekends...lying lazily doing puzzles, word search or sudoku too.

And now the movies we watch are simpler and happier... all about fairytale, awesome :)

embrace the imperfect...

The little boy was TOO thrilled after being introduced the ADVERT CALENDAR and insisted that he or rather WE embarked on doing the project!!! Oh my!!!! The moment I bought it last Sunday, he has been asking when we were going to start, because DEC is definitely coming soon, oh ya... definitely this gonna be ready before december ya.

So he has been 'glu-ing', lending his little helping hands, pasting, cutting, putting the boxes inside, painting, drying... for 2 days ( 4 hours each, total maybe 8 hours or less) we were busy working with this! There goes my annual leave spending time fixing this advert calendar!

Seriously at work... (only picture I got because other times, my hands were real sticky, with beacon and such) It was a good bonding time except with few occasions we argued over which pps to use, which colours he wanted, where to paste etc


Let's have a look at the entire project... using Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas kit, a bit of Crate Paper, Prima vintage trinkets, and MME, AC embelishments and metal charms too :)

I regretted initially for agreeing to get this advert calendar but as we continued to make without any expectations, embrace all imperfect and realised that everything does fall into places after all.


Simple stories pps were a bit shabbily dark and I added the tinge of pink and brighter red from Crate paper... quite like how the combination turned out...

Finally I put a white canvas in the centre to brighten up the entire advert calendar... what do you think? HEE :D


Anyway, next Christmas... this Advert Calendar can be transformed into another look... hahaha! Meanwhile, we are getting ready for the 1st DECEMBER, and going to write wishes, to do list, put candies and stuff in the boxes... P.S Sean is already started to put a lot of post-it-notes and treasures in the boxes! So we're all ready for 1st day of DECEMBER....

hello and bye october...

October, the month full of birthdays... a special month, children's day, october fest, mum's birthday, Sean's birthday, friends gathering, more MWL, MWL class, MWL scrappers, MWL designers.... just filled my days with love :)


Time flies isnt it... The little boy sooooo happy on his graduation day!!! Yes! He looks cheerful and he did very well on that day, YAY!
